There is a wonder girl in all of us, come celebrate your inner music goddess! You too ladies !
The night will be packed with a diverse group of talent. To start, we'll hear Amalia Watty. Amalia’s refreshing, organic quality drew Los Angeles based producer/ songwriter Jamie Houston’s attention (Steven Tyler, Carlos Santana, Sheryl Crow, Miley Cyrus, Macy Grey). Amalia is from Anguilla in the Caribbean. She's an island girl who didn't swim, a tomboy who loved to climb white cedar trees. She woke naturally with the rooster's sound, roaming through farmland and forests, singing as she gathered her own lemongrass leaves for bush tea.
Then we'll see a special performance from Livia Blanc from France, who just released her debut single, "Amour Amour".
Livia works in television and film but is also a insanely talented vocalist and writer who will stepping into the spotlight for the first time since the release of her single!
We'll also hear from Liz Asaro, New York City-based singer/songwriter who has a sound that features rugged guitars that complement the urgency of her vocals. She has been working and touring with members of David Bowie's touring band!
Misia Vessio will then take the stage and promises to bring surprises to the audience! Born and raised in New York City, Misia Vessio shines through the melting pot with her musicianship, ambitions and dreams. As a drummer/percussionist and singer/songwriter, Misia is a rising musician continuing to make a positive impact on the world.
To close out the night, we'll get to see The NYChillharmonic, a 22 piece orchestra led by composer and leading lady, Sara McDonald. Sara writes and arranges all of the music for this indie-rock-electronic-jazz hybrid ensemble as well as directs it. She also sings and plays keyboards with the band. Not only has the group been playing all over NYC for the last year and a half, but Sara has also taken the music to The Moers Festival in Germany, and to the Millenium Stage at The Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. This really isn't your typical big band; not what most would consider "jazz." However, the music spans many genres and does not feel tied down to any single one in particular.
